The Founding Team
Emergent Energy is built by a founding team with direct experience across energy asset operations, major capital project execution, institutional finance, and digital infrastructure. Each member brings domain depth to a different layer of the platform.
Mr. Burton is an enterprise founder and operator with more than 20 years of experience across the finance and energy sectors. His background spans hedge fund management, institutional portfolio oversight, energy asset acquisition, and operating strategy, positioning him at the intersection of capital markets and physical energy infrastructure.
Over the course of his career in finance, Mr. Burton has managed hedge funds with teams exceeding 50 professionals, overseen and maintained public bond portfolios, and designed sophisticated risk and economic modeling frameworks for institutional investment strategies.
Mr. Burton's expertise includes capital structuring, macroeconomic modeling, and disciplined portfolio construction, with a focus on preserving principal while optimizing long-term returns. In the energy sector, Mr. Burton has led and negotiated multiple oil and gas asset acquisitions and is currently in control of producing wells under active operation.
Over the past several years, he has worked closely with professional geologists, field operators, and industry executives to evaluate reserves, optimize production strategies, and develop scalable energy platforms. His operational involvement extends beyond transaction execution into asset stewardship and performance management.
Mr. Parks is an enterprise co-founder and operator with a multidisciplinary background spanning capital projects, energy infrastructure, and enterprise execution. Over the past two years, he has worked across acquisitions, asset development, project and enterprise management, and upstream production operations, helping establish the company's operational foundation and growth trajectory.
Mr. Parks' primary focus centers on the battery energy storage and microgrid platform, where he leads storage strategy, microgrid development, and the company's process data monitoring program. He is responsible for ensuring disciplined execution across complex technical programs while building scalable operating systems that support reliable, efficient energy delivery.
Prior to co-founding the company, Mr. Parks spent seven years with major EPC organizations supporting Fortune 500 clients across the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, and metals sectors. In project engineering and delivery roles, he drove multi-disciplinary engineering execution from conceptual design through commissioning and qualification on multiple multi-billion dollar capital programs critical to clients' global initiatives.
Mr. Ross is an enterprise co-founder and operator with a multidisciplinary background spanning energy, finance, healthcare, blockchain, sales, and business development. Over the past decade, he has served as an executive partner and CFO across multiple ventures, building and scaling complex operating platforms while overseeing capital strategy, financial structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic execution.
For the past eight years, Mr. Ross has focused heavily on the oil and gas and broader energy sectors, where he has developed deep experience in asset acquisition, M&A transactions, reserve evaluation, and vertically integrated infrastructure development. He has worked closely with operators, engineers, field teams, and financial partners to align capital deployment with operational performance, integrating disciplined financial architecture with real-world execution to drive sustainable growth and long-term asset optimization.
Mr. Ross is known for his hands-on leadership style and his ability to bridge technical, financial, and operational teams. His approach is grounded in integrity, accountability, and long-term value creation, with a consistent focus on building durable businesses, strengthening partnerships, and maintaining the highest standards across every transaction and strategic initiative.
