Our Development Pipeline

Emergent Energy is actively developing its first portfolio of microgrid and EV charging infrastructure. We publish this pipeline to be transparent about where each project stands, reporting by development stage, not by aspirational completion dates.

How to read this pipeline: The projects below are real, active, and progressing. They are not yet operational. We believe that transparent progress reporting is more credible than promotional language, and that our stakeholders, investors, partners, and communities, deserve to see where we actually are.

Two Active Development Programs

The pipeline is organized around two distinct programs, each targeting a different audience and infrastructure type. Each sub-page contains program-specific detail and a direct partnership CTA.

4 Sites in Development

Microgrid Pilots

Four 1MW distributed generation and storage pilots in active development across Illinois, California, Kansas, and Colorado. Each pilot targets a commercial or industrial host site and advances the replicable PPA-based business model.

EV Charging Sites

Phase 1 encompasses 16 EV charging sites across Colorado, California, and Washington. Sites are being identified and evaluated against demand, property type, and electrical infrastructure criteria. No sites are yet commissioned or operational.

How We Track Development Progress

Emergent uses a five-stage development framework for all pilot projects. Stage labels replace specific dates to accurately reflect the variable nature of permitting and interconnection timelines.

Selection
The most promising site is chosen based on project fit, infrastructure access, development viability, and long-term strategic value.
Assessment
The opportunity is reviewed for technical, financial, and regulatory viability.
Engineering
System design, planning, and permitting activities are advanced to prepare the project for buildout.
Construction
Infrastructure is built, equipment is installed, and the project is prepared for operation.
Operational
The project is live and delivering energy, charging, or related services.
