Upstream Oil and Gas

A producing domestic foundation generating cash flow today.

Active Production in the Illinois Basin

Emergent Energy's upstream oil and gas platform provides the enterprise with immediate, durable revenue and a domestic fuel supply base for our power generation assets.

Our current producing base is located in the Illinois Basin, a proven, low-decline production area with established infrastructure and regulatory familiarity. We operate 60+ producing wells with a 90% proved developed producing (PDP) asset profile, meaning the majority of our reserves are already delineated and producing.

Natural gas from our upstream operations serves a dual purpose: generating revenue as a standalone commodity, and supplying fuel for our microgrid generation fleet, reducing external fuel dependency and improving dispatch economics across the integrated platform.

Our upstream strategy is focused on disciplined acquisition and development of proved reserves, with expansion planned into Kansas, California, Colorado, and Texas.

How the Oil & Gas Business Works

Production Operations

In-house operations team manages production from operated wells. Direct control over lifting costs, maintenance scheduling, and workover decisions enables efficient capital deployment and responsive field management.

Commodity Revenue

Revenue is generated from oil sales at prevailing market prices, with modest gas volumes sold through established regional offtake channels. The revenue stream provides the financial foundation for the company's development program.

Expansion & Development

The development roadmap targets incremental well additions and field optimization within the existing operating area. Capital for development is sourced from operating cash flow and the company's ongoing capital raise.

Development Priorities

The expansion program for the oil and gas segment is focused on high-confidence, capital-efficient opportunities within the existing operating footprint. Three near-term priorities define the roadmap:

1

Production Optimization

Identify and execute workovers and recompletions on existing wells to maximize production from the current wellbore inventory. Low capital intensity, near-term production impact.

2

Infill Drilling

Evaluate and target infill drilling locations within the existing acreage position based on geological analysis and production history. Incremental barrels from a proven play.

3

Acreage Growth

Identify bolt-on acquisition opportunities in the Illinois Basin that fit the operating model and capital efficiency criteria. Growth is accretive to the cash flow platform, not speculative.
