Microgrid Pilots

Four 1MW distributed microgrid systems in active development across four states.

In-progress pipeline: This page shows active development activity, not completed projects. Stage labels reflect current status. No pilots have been commissioned or are generating revenue.

Four Pilots Across Four Power Markets

Emergent Energy is developing its first portfolio of 1MW grid-interconnected microgrids. Each project is designed to demonstrate the economics and operational performance of our integrated generation, storage, and dispatch model in a real-world operating environment.

Status is reported by development stage. Our target for first microgrid interconnect is Q1–Q2 2027, subject to interconnect approval and permitting timelines.

Each Emergent microgrid is a 1MW grid-interconnected system combining solar generation, no-carbon turboexpander capacity, natural gas backup for firm power delivery, and battery energy storage. Sites are designed for commercial, industrial, and institutional host environments.

ℹ Stage labels are used in place of specific dates to accurately reflect the variable nature of development timelines. Status is updated as milestones are reached. No specific site addresses, host partner names, or interconnect utility names are published.

Interested in Hosting a Pilot?

We are actively evaluating commercial and industrial sites across our target geographies. Ideal host partners have high baseline energy consumption, existing grid access, and an interest in long-term energy reliability. If your site meets these criteria, we would like to hear from you.
